Mother Nature Assists A Restaurant In Stoughton, Wisconsin By Providing “Warm Weather” For A Few Days And Allowing The Reconstruction Of An Outdoor Enclosure
A Limited November “Heat Wave” Gave Waste Cost Solutions’
Construction Crew Enough Leeway to Complete The Job
Mother Nature as a rule can sometimes create havoc and cause damage to an outdoor waste enclosure, especially if there is a tornado or hurricane involved. Many outdoor waste structures may not be reinforced with rebar and can easily be damaged if they encounter tornado or hurricane force winds. Although the outdoor concrete enclosure of a Stoughton, Wisconsin restaurant was not damaged by adverse weather conditions, Mother Nature did come in the way, providing warmer than normal weather for a short duration in November 2021. This provided enough time for Waste Cost Solutions’ construction crew to rebuild the enclosure before colder weather set back in.
“Construction at the Stoughton site could only be completed with temperatures above 32 degrees. When we learned the area would be experiencing warmer conditions than normal, we immediately sent out our construction crew to rebuild the enclosure,” commented Michael Mintz, CEO, Waste Cost Solutions. “Fortunately the weather cooperated and it remained warm throughout our reconstruction efforts,” noted Mintz.
Interestingly, a customer at the restaurant apparently ran into the enclosure and knocked over a good portion of the enclosure walls with their
vehicle. “It took a total of five days to complete the entire job, which included picking-up and removing all of the remaining debris, the demolition of the existing standing walls, as well as construction of the new walls and re-installing the gates, Mintz added.
“We were very fortunate for the warmer weather conditions, as well as the immediate turnaround time of our crew in completing the project. What’s more, the project took less than a month’s time from when we were informed of the outdoor enclosure incident at the Stoughton restaurant to its final completion,” concluded Mintz.
